삶과 죽음 그리고 영원이라는 세가지 주제는 내 작업의 주된 키워드이며 각각의 작업들은 그 주제와 관련한 독립적 이야기를 담고 있다. 작품에는 유럽의 신화나 이집트, 동양 철학, 종교등이 등장한다. 나의 작업의 시작은 특정한 사상이나 철학에서 출발하기 보단 작품에서 이야기하려는 생각을 화면에 옮기기 위해 그러한 철학이나 사상을 불러오는 식이 대부분이다. 작품은 두개의 관점이 결합되어 완성된다. 하나는 현재의 시각에서 바라본 동시대적인 주제를 또 하나 과거의 거장들이 행해왔던 회화적 견지를 통해 나만의 고유한 화면을 구성한다. 나의 작업은 그와 같은 경계에서 만들어 진다.

My work is based on three main subjects: life, death, and eternity. These three subjects form a foundation for all my work. Each artwork has a specific unique story. These stories are based on Greek, Roman, Egyptian mythologies, religious stories, and Eastern philosophy. However, I do not limit my thoughts to a particular philosophy. My work depicts stories of human being in current time, nation and generation. My work can project two different points of view. They become realistic when seen through a traditional point of view. Yet it also looks enlightened when seen through a contemporary point of view.
